The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can remove pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.
Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel has a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent best rated robot vacuum of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
