The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.
Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hardwood check here floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
